What’s your title here and how does it fit into real estate?

I am a Transaction Coordinator.  My position here allows me to work with all parties involved to help ensure that each transaction reaches a successful closing.

Part of my job is to coordinate with sellers for showings and then once under contract, I review the paperwork to make sure everything has been initialed and signed, as well as make sure documents get where they need to be in a timely manner.  Most contracts are littered with contingencies and due dates.  My job is to keep track of all of those deadlines and make sure nothing is missed.
 

What are your favorite things about living in Clermont/Central FL?

I have lived in Clermont since 1978, when my parents moved here from Virginia.  They chose Clermont because of the beautiful rolling hills, and that is still one of the things I love about Clermont.  I was married in Clermont and raised both of my sons here.  I still love the “hometown” feeling Clermont has.  

Are you a homeowner? When did you buy your first and/or current home?

My husband and I bought a home 33 years ago, and we still live there!  We may have added on to it and remodeled it a few times over the years, but I couldn’t think of living anywhere else!
 

How has your prior work experience helped you with your current job with us?

Over the years, I have had many different jobs.  I have worked Retail, held office positions, had a Real Estate License and co-owned a Limousine / Catering business.  While these were very different occupations, I realized recently that they all had one thing in common.  Each one of them gave me the privilege of serving others and an opportunity to provide great customer service.  I have to admit, I love to help people and this job empowers me to do that on a regular basis!

Do you have any hobbies? What do you do when you’re not working?

I was one of the cooks in our Catering business and I still enjoy cooking for others.  It is very satisfying to see people happily enjoying the food you create.  However, as I don’t get to do that very often these days, I have changed my hobby to one that is also very rewarding.  My husband and I enjoy working outside on our nearly 3 acres of property.  There is always plenty to do and so much satisfaction comes from seeing your efforts come to fruition.  I know that we will never run out of ideas and things to do to improve the property!

What have you learned since working on our team?

I really enjoy my position and I love the people I work with!  Everyone who works here is extremely genuine in their care and concern for each other and for our clients.  Our clients always come first.  Whether we are working with a Seller or with a Buyer.  Once a client agrees to work with us, they become part of our family.  So we make sure they receive quality care and we do whatever is required to make sure their interests are well taken care of.  I have never seen such conviction and dedication provided by a real estate company.  It is one of the reasons I love what I do!
